2015 – Paris Trip Summary
I have wanted to visit the Disney Parks around the world since the first one opened back in 1983 in Tokyo. When Paris opened in 1992 I bought a commemorative ticket and even a map. For Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary I thought it would be fun to treat myself and visit all 11 Disney Parks around the globe. I live in Southern California so Disneyland is easy for me since I go several times a month. I was in Orlando in December and plan to go again before the year is out. In the Spring I made my first overseas trip and went to Hong Kong and then Tokyo. Check out my 2015 Asia Trip Summary for pictures, thoughts & observations from that trip. To round out the parks I was able to fit a Fall trip to Paris into the calendar. This is my first trip to Europe so it will be interesting to compare to Asia. For this trip I am staying at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge in a Golden Forest Club Room (it is their concierge equivalent). I will be venturing out to Downtown Paris, Versailles and Normandy. Below I will post updates throughout the trip but be sure to check out the Geek’s Blog for pictures, I plan on posting something each evening or when I have wi-fi access. Then once back I will post a full sets of pictures and videos, just as I did for Asia.

| Monday September 28, 2015 – Disneyland Paris | |

Part II: Disneyland Paris – Morning Touring The walk to the park then we wander through the park visiting some attractions in Discoveryland, Fantasyland and Adventureland before lunch.

Part III: Disneyland Paris – Walt’s & Frontierland Lunch at Walts and then we explore Frontierland in depth. |

Part IV: Adventureland & Fantasyland I start off in Adventureland visiting Adventure Isle then the Aladdin Walkthrough. Then into Fantasyland the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough and Alice’s Maze before ending by visiting Pinocchio.

| Tuesday September 29, 2015 – Walt Disney Studios Park & Disneyland Paris | |

Part I: Disney’s Sequoia Lodge & Hotel New York Started off the morning walking the grounds of Lodge then paid a visit to the Hotel New York next door.

| Wednesday September 30, 2015 – Downtown Paris Sightseeing Day | |

Part I: Eiffel Tower Started my morning off with a train ride into Downtown Paris. First stop the Eiffel Tower on a very clear morning.

Part II: Seine River Cruise Took a one hour cruise on the Seine River to take in the sights of central Paris from waterlevel.
|
 |
Part III: Notre Dame Cathedral After lunch visited Notre Dame. Walked through the interior then did the climb to the bell tower (all 422 steps). |
 |
Part IV: Louvre Spent some time in the Louvre taking in the highlights before dinner. |
 |
Part V: Arc de Triomphe & Eiffel Tower @ Sunset Closer out my day by visiting the Arc de Triomphe then deciding to skip the steps and instead took the Metro to a hill to see the Eiffel Tower lights before returning to Disney.

| Thursday October 1, 2015 – Versailles Sightseeing Day | |

Part I: Palace of Versailles The joruney to Versailles then some pictures from my time inside the main palace.

Part II: Gardens of Versailles & Marie Antoinette’s Estate A walk through the gardens of Versailles then a visit to the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon before walking the grounds of Marie Antoinette’s Estate.

| Tuesday October 6, 2015 – A quick trip to Disneyland then the long journey home | |
 |
Awoke to driving rain which cleared by 10am. Spent some last minutes (hour) at Disneyland Park and then started the long trek home. It total it took 22 hours from when we left the Sequoia Lodge Lobby until I was inside my house in Los Angeles.
