“Disney Paint the Night” debuts on October 1 at Hong Kong Disneyland. Below are several pictures Disney Released of the parade as it premiered for the media. Here is more information on the parade in a full press release from Disney. Here is a YouTube video of the parade’s premiere I found posted by someone who was at the event.

Tinker Bell leads the way before a dazzling “color spiral” of sparkling fairy dust! She magically flies within this “color spiral” while spreading pixie dust all around her.

The Scare Floor in Monstropolis comes to crazy, vivid life as Mike and Sulley navigate an array of vibrant, twirling doors!

It is the very first time that Mack is featured in a parade. Mack float is over 54 feet long and 18 feet tall. Mack is driving along in a larger-than-life fashion, equipped with some very cool, giant “light display” panels affixed to his sides.

Life under the sea is an underwater, watercolor wonderland of vibrant, glowing hues! King Triton, Ariel and a school of glowing “sea creatures” fill the streets with their own briny brilliance.

Vibrant projections that depict memorable and iconic moments from Belle’s “tale as old as time” story fill her gown and travel upwards onto a giant tapestry of electric imagery, featuring unforgettable chapters from her beloved story.

Slinky Dog scampers along with Woody and Buzz holding on for dear life! Slinky’s ever-moving, ever-changing “coils” glow with eye-popping, ever-changing and iridescent patterns.

For the grand finale, Mickey Mouse is the star of the celebration and takes center stage – riding high above our heads and leading the way to brighten up the Park with happiness and vibrant colors.

Over 25 different styles have been applied in the design and construction of the costumes and many of them were designed especially for this parade. Each costume has its own very sophisticated system of lighting controls whereby our imagineers have used new technologies in ways that have never been used on costuming before to bring a new perspective to our guests.

The talented Cosmetology team (hair, wigs and make up) at Hong Kong Disneyland has developed a new technique to create fiber optic wigs that can be styled to create a beautiful glowing effect. They also developed exquisite fiber optic eyelashes that can change color which significantly enriches the whole parade performance.

The Park specially designed the all-new interactive merchandise – “Mickey Magic Paint Brush” which allows guests to interact with performers and also with families and friends during the parade. Guests will be able to “paint the night” with this merchandise item. It can literally change colors on the performers’ costumes at the touch of a button.
