Book: The Doll People’s Christmas

The Doll People’s Christmas
The Doll People’s Christmas

Two toy eras collide in this Christmas tale by Ann M. Martin and Laura Godwin.

Kate and Nora are sisters who each have their own dollhouse set to play with; Kate’s is an old wooden Victorian dollhouse and Nora’s is plastic and modern.

In similar “Toy Story” essence, the dolls come to life when the humans aren’t around and they are badgered by the house cat named The Captain.

My daughter and I enjoyed reading this story before nap one afternoon. She’s really into playing with her dollhouse so she was intrigued by both houses and its family members. The illustrations were done well and the story was story was easy to follow. This is definitely a book that we will be keeping in our Christmas story rotation!
