Disneyland Railroad & Mark Twain Re-opening (Disney Video & Pictures)

Today the Disneyland Resort hosted a media event to mark the reopening of some Disneyland Classic Attractions.  Below is a series of video clips and then some still images Disney made available from the festivities.

 

DISNEYLAND RAILORAD RETURNS — John Lasseter, Principal Creative Advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering, brought his train, the Marie E, for a special trip around Disneyland park in celebration of the railroad’s return to daily operation. The Marie E was previously owned by Lasseter’s mentor and famous Disney animator, Ollie Johnston. The iconic Disneyland Railroad, reopening July 29, now features a path along the north end of the river where it crosses a new trestle and hugs the riverbank which now features five majestic waterfalls.(Joshua Sudock/Disneyland Resort)

SDISNEYLAND RAILROAD RETURNS (ANAHEIM, Calif.) – The Disneyland Railroad, an original Disneyland attraction and park icon, now travels a scenic route with breathtaking views along the north bank of the Rivers of America. Landscapes inspired by four of America’s majestic rivers – the Mississippi, the Columbia, the Missouri and the Rio Grande – are carefully recreated, complete with indigenous rock formations, natural forests and wildlife, and the waterfalls. CLASSIC DISNEYLAND PARK ATTRACTIONS RETURN (ANAHEIM, Calif.) – A gorgeous new Columbia Gorge section is the backdrop as guests enjoy their journey aboard the Disneyland Railroad, one of the original Disneyland attractions.
