Disneytown and the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel to Reopen on June 16, 2022

Shanghai, June 14, 2022 Disneytown, the shopping, dining and entertainment district with the
allure of a charming village at Shanghai Disney Resort, and the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, the
elegant, Art Nouveauinspired resort hotel, will both reopen on June 16, 2022, just in time to
mark the Sixth Anniversary of the opening of Shanghai Disney Resort. During the initial reopening
stage, each venue will operate with limited capacity as well as select offerings and services. These
areas will join Wishing Star Park, the World of Disney Store and Blue Sky Boulevard in welcoming
guests back to Shanghai Disney Resort.

Shanghai Disney Resort - DisneytownThe reopening of Disneytown will provide guests with the perfect destination to experience the
fresh outdoor air and reunite with families and friends, all while enjoying a variety of
international shopping and dining experiences. Upon reopening, many of the shopping, dining,
and recreational experiences in Disneytown will be available to guests, operating with limited
capacities in accordance with government guidelines as well as reduced hours of operation.
Participating restaurants will offer adjusted menus featuring “grabandgo” items. The overall
hours of operation for Disneytown will be from 10:00 to 19:00, except for the World of Disney
Store, which will operate from 9:00 to 19:00. The Disneytown Parking Lot will also resume
operations on June 16, operating from 9:00 to 20:00 daily.

Starting today, guests will be able to make reservations for the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel
through the Shanghai Disney Resort official website, app, Weixin/WeChat account, the Resort
Reservation Center and the resort’s official travel partners’ channels. All room types at Shanghai
Disneyland Hotel will be available for reservations, subject to availability. Most of the hotel’s
iconic dining experiences, including Lumière’s Kitchen and Aurora, together with the Disney
fairiesthemed shop, Tinker Bell Gifts, will reopen at the same time, immersing guests in a
comprehensive resort staycation experience. Wishing Star Ferry will remain temporarily closed
during the initial reopening stage. (Upon reopening, select hotel facilities, such as the King Triton
Pool and the onsite fitness center, will remain temporarily closed until further notice; Offerings and experiences, including character experience, may also be adjusted; Hotel restaurants will be
available for hotel guests only, subject to pandemic control measures and advanced reservation.

service availability and operational hours).

From June 14 to July 12, 2022, Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass holders will be able to enjoy a
discounted room rate approximately 20% off for a Deluxe Garden View room during June 16
to July 13, 2022 at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, subject to availability. For Shanghai Disneyland
Annual Pass holders whose birthday falls in March to June, the validity period of their birthday
benefits this year, including those that can be enjoyed at the resort hotel, will be extended to
September 30, 2022. (Redemption of Pass benefit is only valid during the Pass validity period.
Hotel’s discounted offer is calculated on the basis of the room rate on the same date and same
room type selected by the Annual Pass holder when purchased via the Shanghai Disney Resort
Official Weixin/WeChat Account or Shanghai Disney Resort Reservation Center.)

During this reopening period, Shanghai Disney Resort will continue its enhanced health and
safety measures, in accordance with the latest government regulations and guidance:

  • All locations will operate at controlled capacity upon reopening;
  • All guests, regardless of age, will be required to present a green Shanghai Health QR Code
    (“Suishenma”) and a negative Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) taken within 72 hours (from
    sampling time) prior to entering Shanghai Disney Resort. In order to comply with
    government guidelines for tourism destinations, we are not able to accept 24hour NAT
    test sampling proof but without a negative NAT taken within 72 hours. Proof of a negative
    NAT taken within 72 hours is mandatory. Guests are strongly recommended to register
    for their Shanghai Health QR Code via the Suishenban App, Weixin/WeChat or Alipay prior
    to their arrival. For guests without a smart phone, please bundle your QR code with a
    family member via the Suishenban App, Weixin/WeChat or Alipay. An offline Suishenma,
    applied via the Government OnlineOffline Shanghai (“Yiwangtongban”) platform, with
    valid NAT information will also be accepted for those without a smart phone. Guests using
    the offline Suishenma will be required to present a valid government ID to our Cast at the
    same time. Please present your offline Suishenma to our onsite Cast to scan and verify
    the information;

  • All guests will also be required to scan the “Venue Code” and present a green code to
    Cast, or present the Shanghai Health QR Code to onsite Cast for scanning to confirm the
    validity, upon entering Shanghai Disney Resort. Additional scanning of the Venue Code
    may also be required upon entering different locations across the resort;

  • All guests visiting Shanghai Disneyland Hotel are required to present a green
    Telecommunication Data Based Travel Itinerary Card (Travel Itinerary Card) and complete
    the Health Declaration Form during checkin at the Front Desk and Magic Kingdom Lounge.
    If a guest is unable to complete scanning the “Venue Code”, unable to present a green
    Shanghai Health QR Code and a negative NAT taken within 72 hours, unable to present a
    green Travel Itinerary Card or if a guest has traveled to one of the medium or highrisk
    areas affected by COVID19 over the past 14 days, they may not be able to check in. In
    accordance with local government directives, if a guest develops a fever or a fever with
    the following symptoms: cough, cough up sputum, runny nose, sore throat, chest aches
    & tension during their stay at one of our resort hotels, they will be asked to seek medical
    attention at a designated medical clinic

  • All guests will continue to be required to undergo temperature screening upon entering
    Shanghai Disney Resort;

  • All guests will be required to wear masks during their entire visit to the resort in both
    indoor and outdoor settings, except when dining;

  • All guests will be required to strictly follow social distancing requirements, and a safe
    distance of one meter should be kept while queuing or dining;

  • All guests will be encouraged to maintain good personal hygiene;
  • All Cast Members, tenant employees at Disneytown and thirdparty vendors will be
    required to undergo regular NAT and antigen tests as well as conduct temperature
    screening and recording following government requirements;

  • Sanitization and disinfection will be increased and strengthened throughout the resort.

At this time, the resort’s theme park, Shanghai Disneyland, and the resort’s other themed hotel,
Toy Story Hotel, will continue to remain temporarily closed until further notice.
