Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort®

URAYASU, CHIBA— Guests will be able to enjoy the special event “Disney Halloween” at Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park from October 1 through November 7. The Disney hotels, Disney Resort Line, and Ikspiari® will also offer exciting programs themed to Halloween.

At Tokyo Disneyland, “Disney Halloween” is getting a thrilling new twist, with Disney Villains taking center stage. Guests will be delighted by an exhilarating experience themed to a lively Halloween party organized by the Villains.

In the new daytime parade, “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy,’” the Disney Villains appear aboard their own distinctive floats, as they invite Disney friends, including Mickey Mouse, and guests to join their party. Furthermore, Dr. Facilier, the villain from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film The Princess and the Frog, will be making his first appearance at Tokyo Disney Resort. During the interactive segment of the parade, guests will be invited to dance along together, as captivating special effects build towards a climax.  Guests can get ready to be captivated by the high-energy and electrifying parade presented by the Disney Villains.

Additionally, the park will feature decorations inspired by the Villains’ Halloween party, as well as classic Halloween designs like pumpkins and ghosts. At Tokyo DisneySea, guests can look forward to “Disney Halloween Greeting,presented at Mediterranean Harbor, where Disney friends dressed in pumpkin and candy-inspired outfits join them in celebrating Halloween. Additionally, “Halloween Fair in New York” will once again take place in Waterfront Park at American Waterfront. Guests will be immersed in the spirit of the spooky season thanks to the program’s lively and festive daytime atmosphere and mystical nighttime experience.

Additionally, both parks will invite guests of all ages to dress up as characters on any day during this special event period, creating lots of festive fun throughout Tokyo Disney Resort this Halloween.

The Villains’ Halloween “Into the Frenzy”

The new daytime parade, “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy,’” features well-known Disney Villains in a lavishly decorated party venue, accompanied by exciting music and performances, as they throw a cool and glamorous Halloween party. Disney friends, including Mickey Mouse, and guests are invited by the Villains to enjoy this mysteriously thrilling experience.

“The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy’” begins with Dr. Facilier welcoming everyone from the front of the parade, imagined as the party’s entrance. Maleficent and Jafar, from the Disney Animation films Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin, respectively, then captivate onlookers with their spellbinding performances.

When the floats make a stop and the party officially starts, the Villains kick it off with a welcoming performance. Guests then join Mickey Mouse and his friends in an energetic dance to the music. As the exciting energy builds, powerful flames and smoke erupt toward the sky, enveloping the party in an electrifying atmosphere.

The party reaches a spectacular finale. But what exactly is the Villains’ true goal?

  • The parade will stop in in the Westernland and Fantasyland area, the Plaza, and again in the Tomorrowland and Toontown area of the parade route.

  • Flame and smoke effects will be used in select areas.

  • The Villains’ Halloween “Into the Frenzy” is presented by Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd.

Special Menus

Starting September 1, a brand-new special menu inspired by Disney Villains will be offered, as well as dishes that capture the colors and flavors of Halloween. At Eastside Cafe, a special set inspired by Maleficent will be available. The set includes an appetizer with pork rillettes and black corn shaped like Maleficent’s horns, as well as squid ink tagliolini pasta evoking thorns. Additionally, Plaza Pavilion Restaurant will offer a special set inspired by the Queen from Disney Animation’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. With this set, guests will be able to enjoy a side dish perfect for autumn that includes a five-vegetable quiche topped with a pumpkin salad, as well as fettuccine adorned with the Queen’s crown.

Decorations

Seasonal decorations that capture the ambience of the Villains’ Halloween party will cast a spell around Tokyo Disney Resort. Main Street at World Bazaar will be adorned with thorns and drapery, and banners showcasing Disney Villains will be displayed around Cinderella Castle. Additionally, the park entrance will feature a Halloween-themed Mickey Flower Bed, as well as a pumpkin photo spot inspired by Mickey Mouse’s silhouette. Furthermore, Toontown at Tokyo Disneyland will once again feature Halloween decorations with pumpkin and ghost designs that fit the atmosphere of the park.

Attractions

From September 19, 2024 through January 13, 2025, the Fantasyland attraction Haunted Mansion will undergo a seasonal transformation and become Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” based on Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas film.

Taking place at Tokyo DisneySea again this year will be the “Disney Halloween Greeting.” Here, Mickey Mouse and his friends appear on a boat carrying sweets and a large pumpkin as they enjoy a fun and lively Halloween party. Guests can also join the fun with a trick-or-treat-themed dance.

Special Menus

Starting September 1, guests will be able to enjoy a visually vibrant menu with plenty of autumnal flavors. At Liberty Landing Diner, the new Halloween Sundae (Candied Sweet Potato & Chestnut) will debut, featuring a creamy purple sweet potato soft serve topped with a Mickey Mouse-shaped candied sweet potato. The rich soft serve also contains chestnuts and granola, making it a satisfying treat.

Food Truck (Blue) at Waterfront Park will be branching out beyond sweets with the new menu item, Pumpkin Gnocchi Gratin. The dish features Mickey Mouse-shaped gnocchi along with a medley of pumpkin salad, crispy bacon, and melted cheese. Guests can also drizzle some maple syrup on top for extra flavor.

Pumpkin Gnocchi Gratin with Nuts and Maple Syrup will be available from September 16.

Decorations

Mediterranean Harbor and American Waterfront will be decorated with Halloween flair. In the New York area of American Waterfront, decorations featuring Mickey Mouse dressed up for Halloween, pumpkins and more will set the stage for a frightfully fun experience.

Halloween Fair in New York

“Halloween Fair in New York” will be presented again this year in the New York area of American Waterfront. During the daytime, guests can experience a cheerful and bustling Halloween celebration alongside the people of New York. But when the sun goes down, the fair takes on a mysterious and spooky air, where ghosts have prepared some surprises. In this special program, guests will be able to enjoy a Halloween atmosphere that differs from day to night.

Decorations depicting Mickey Mouse, his friends and pumpkins will adorn Waterfront Park. Throughout the day, the area will have a festive and lively atmosphere. However, once darkness settles in and the jack-o’-lanterns are illuminated, the music shifts, and fog fills the air, creating a more mysterious and eerie ambience. Additionally, if guests say “Trick or Treat!” to cast members carrying jack-o’-lantern-inspired buckets, they will receive candy. These buckets light up at night, just like a lantern. The flavors of the candy also vary between day and night, so be sure to seek out cast members if you get the chance.

Special Merchandise

Special merchandise unique to “Disney Halloween” will be available at both parks from September 19. There will be items featuring ghosts enjoying the parks during Halloween, wearable items inspired by the Disney Villains and more.

Additionally, merchandise featuring Mickey Mouse and his friends, who have been invited to a Halloween party by the Villains, will go on sale at Tokyo Disneyland from September 30.

Costumes

Guests of all ages are invited to come dressed as characters on any day during the “Disney Halloween” special event period at both parks.

  • Guests in costumes other than those listed on the special web page as characters from eligible films and other works will not be admitted.
  • Guests are asked to check the special web page and follow the rules when wearing a costume.
  • Guests may not be allowed to enter the park if their costume does not follow the above or goes against park safety or costume policies.
  • A changing space is not available at Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. Guests must dress up and apply make-up at home or at their place of stay before visiting, or use the changing space at Ikspiari which will be available for guests to use for a fee. Guests are asked to refrain from using the restrooms, multi-function restrooms, or storage locker areas both inside and outside the park for changing clothes.
  • Guests may be required to remove parts of their costume during shows if they block other guest’s views.

Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Packages

Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Packages will offer a variety of plans for guests to enjoy “Disney Halloween” to the fullest, with options such as special viewing area tickets for “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy’” at Tokyo Disneyland, as well as an opportunity to take a commemorative photo with Disney friends dressed in Halloween outfits. Guests will be able to use an Attraction Ticket to experience the Haunted Mansion attraction, which will transform into Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” during this limited period.

Disney Hotels

Disney Hotels will be offering special menus inspired by “Disney Halloween,” with motifs of ghosts and the Villains.

At Disney Ambassador® Hotel, menu items themed to the flavors and colors of Halloween will be offered. Original charms and coasters will also be available with an order of certain menu items.

The restaurants and lounge at Tokyo Disneyland® Hotel and Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta® will offer colorful dishes themed to the event.

With a focus on ingredients, colors, and plating, each hotel has crafted special “Disney Halloween” menus that showcase their unique flair, inviting guests to enjoy these festive offerings.

Disney Resort Line

Limited-time day passes for the Disney Resort Line monorail trains will be available in designs themed to “Disney Halloween” at the ticket machines in the Disney Resort Line stations. Guests can also collect souvenir medallions that will be available in an exclusive design themed to the event.

Ikspiari

This shopping, dining and entertainment complex located near Maihama station will be full of Halloween decorations this autumn. Guests can enjoy the 140 shops and restaurants, as well as a cinema complex at Ikspiari.
