Third Shanghai Disney Resort Hotel Final Beam Installed
Shanghai, January 15, 2025 – While ringing in 2025 and the Year of the Snake, Shanghai Disney Resort reached another significant milestone in the development of its third themed hotel. This morning, with the installation of the final primary steel beam, the major structure of this newest themed hotel was completed, marking the completion of its structural-phase construction and laying important groundwork for the upcoming interior development.
As one of the resort’s current major expansion projects, this nine-floor deluxe hotel has 400 rooms and suites, and will be only a short stroll from Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Inspired by Shanghai’s unique early 20th century architectural legacy, the hotel will be designed and decorated in the Art Nouveau style while incorporating the resort’s guiding principle of “authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese,” offering guests an immersive themed accommodation experience.
Adjacent to the shores of Wishing Star Lake, the themed hotel will deliver remarkable views of Shanghai Disneyland. After completion, the hotel along with Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel will provide resort guests an additional array of accommodations, complete with new immersive experiences, indoor and outdoor recreational amenities and programming infused with Disney storytelling for those planning for a multi-day stay at the resort.
Since the grand opening in 2016, the resort has continued to develop with major expansion projects including the addition of two themed lands to its theme park, Shanghai Disneyland – Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land and Zootopia. In addition to the third themed hotel, the resort’s current expansion projects also include a Spider-Man-themed coaster, which will be the first major Marvel attraction at Shanghai Disneyland and has begun the initial construction preparation work earlier in 2024.
The completion of the major structure of the latest themed hotel marks another significant milestone in the resort’s ongoing expansion and development, and demonstrates the resort’s commitment to offering guests near and far new exciting experiences and offerings for every aspect of their visit.
