Dinner & A Parade @ Carthay Circle Restaurant (Teri’s Take)
Editor Note: Teri sent in this report featuring a look at her dining experience at the Carthay Circle Restaurant a few weeks ago and some of her thoughts on the experience.
We joined some friends and their kids for dinner at Carthay Circle on Wednesday April 29, 2015.
Our reservation time was 4:50, which was perfect. The kids needed a break and so did the adults, but this was not why it was perfect. They seated us in a dining room that had a patio that overlooked the Pixar Play Parade route which runs daily at 5:15pm.
This was the perfect opportunity for the adults to enjoy a cocktail while the kids overlooked the parade.
I ordered something not on the menu a strawberry mojito. The strawberries were hand pressed and it tasted amazing.
We opted for the World of Color Menu as our friends had not had the opportunity of seeing it yet. Both of the kids and adults menus were prix fixe and images of them are listed below.
Kids had a choice of tomato soup or caesar salad for their appetizer. The cup that the tomato soup came in was an adorable little tea cup perfect size for the kids to sip their soup from and they did. They truly enjoyed it.
For their main entrée one chose the Soba Noodle Bowl and the other chose the tacos. As far as how the taste was, well there wasn’t much left. So I will take that as an indication that they enjoyed it.
And for dessert the Green apple caramel parfait push pop. Which is pretty much what we all ordered for dessert because it sounded amazing. And it truly was.
For the Adult appetizer we had a choice of the Lemongrass Coconut Broth accented with Tangerine or the Carthay Circle salad.
The Chicken and Anaheim Chili Raviolis were so good after I snapped the picture they disappeared.
The Thick Cut Pork Chop was Moist and Delicious
The Soy Sesame Glazed Skuna Bay Salmon was picture perfect and gone almost as fast as the raviolis.
Everything tasted amazing, the sustainable fish of the day was swordfish and that is just what I ordered.
It was cooked to perfection and seasoned so well that this salt lover did nothing to it.
All in all it was a great meal and we had a great time.
