Super Saurus and the Egg by Deborah Underwood – Daynah’s Review

supersaurusandtheeggSuper Saurus and the Egg

Arnold’s parents brought home an egg and told him he was going to be an older brother. But little Arnold was not convinced at all. Arnold thought the egg could be anything, maybe even an EGG OF DOOM!

No fear, Super Saurus will be ready for whatever comes out of that egg. If a vampire-saurus flies out of the egg, Super Saurus will save us from its destruction. If a planet-crushing robot stomps out of the egg, Super Saurus put a stop to it! If Maud the Marauder jumps out of the egg, Super Saurus will protect us! But what happens if the Egg of Doom turns out to be Arnold’s new little brother or sister? Will he be ready?

With the same wit, humor, and charm that shines in Super Saurus Saves Kindergarten, readers will be captivated by Arnold’s super imagination that takes you all over the galaxy!

Daughter’s Reaction

My 6-year-old daughter loved the story. She thought Arnold was very imaginative and silly. She loved that in the end, Arnold played with his baby sister and included her in his many adventures. It reminds her of how she plays with her own little sister.

Overview

I enjoy the Super Saurus series by Deborah Underwood because of how imaginative Arnold is. He turns a playroom of toy robots into a forest battlefield of Zottlebots! So when his parents announced that they have an egg that will be hatching soon, his creative mind just runs wild. The fun and witty storytelling of Deborah Underwood will make you smile and Ned Young’s illustrations just brings the story to life. This book would make a great gift for a child a new sibling!
