Pictures & My Impressions of Disney’s Pop Century Resort Room @ Walt Disney World
In May I stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort at Walt Disney World. This was my first time staying in one of the remodeled rooms. Overall the changes made the room feel larger than before with the space being optimized. I was disappointed with the lack of Disney and the lack of anything to do with the resort in the room.
I thought many of the changes were improvements. The fold down bed really made the room feel larger and give you some extra square footage in a relatively small hotel room. There were plenty of power outlets as well as USB ports available around the room.  The higher bed meant the suitcases can fit under it which meant more space too. The Wi-Fi in the room seemed stable and decent speeds for me. I thought having a door on the bathroom area vs a curtain was a good improvement over other similar rooms we have stayed in.    I also thought the shower with the dual heads was good, the pressure was on the moderate side though.
My two biggest complaints are the lack of Disney/Resort touches in the room as well as the feel of the furniture. The furniture felt on the lower quality side. Simple things like any weight at all in some of the drawers and they would slide open. The fit/finish was not that good.  When staying at a Disney Resort I like to see Disney touches.  Two pieces of artwork and some logos on the toiletries is not enough in my book. The old rooms had one piece of art that identified which decade you were in at least.
Here is a look around my room:
