Disney Gallery: The MandalorianIn “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian,” Executive Producer Jon Favreau invites the cast and crew to share an unprecedented look at the making of the series which quickly became a pop culture phenomenon after premiering in November. Debuting on the day that a worldwide community of fans celebrate all-things-Star Wars — Monday, May 4 — “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” is an eight-episode documentary series that pulls back the curtain on the first season of “The Mandalorian.” Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Favreau.

New episodes of “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” will stream every Friday on Disney+.

 


There will be 8 Episodes in the series.  The first five will stream in May:

May 4th – Series Premiere – Episode 101 “Directing”
“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” is an eight-episode documentary series that pulls back the curtain on The Mandalorian. Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, behind the scenes footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Jon Favreau.

In the first episode, the filmmakers speak about their individual journeys on the way to the director’s chair and take us inside the filmmaking process of The Mandalorian.

May 8th – Episode 102 “Legacy”
The team behind The Mandalorian examines the profound impact of George Lucas’ STAR WARS.

May 15th – Episode 103 “Cast”
Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers discuss the making of The Mandalorian

May 22nd – Episode 104 “Technology”
Favreau and team reveal how a new filmmaking technology was used to bring The Mandalorian to life.

May 29th – Episode 105 “Practical”
The team celebrates the artistry behind the practical models, effects and animatronic creatures.

June 5th – Episode 106 “Visualization”
Much like the original trilogy, The Mandalorian drew influences from both Western and Samurai films. We delve deeper into those influences and discuss how emulating those genres inspired the show.

June 12th – Episode 107 “Score”
We meet Ludwig Göransson inside his studio where he details how The Mandalorian’s musical themes were written. We then journey to the scoring stage to witness the live orchestra recording session.

June 19th – Finale Episode 108 “Connections”
Jon and Dave look back at some of the Star Wars characters and props that made their way into The Mandalorian. We also take a moment to showcase the 501st legion.
