Bake like a Disney princess with this charming and adorable cookbook. There are more than 60 royal treat recipes, inspired by your favorite princesses, such as Belle, Ariel, Moana, and more! From delicate buttery cookies to fancy and decadent cakes, this cookbook includes all types of delicious Disney-themed treats. There are also recipes for healthy snacks and morning treats. Imagine whipping up a batch of Tiana’s Famous Beignets for your friends and family. How about making a cake inspired by Belle’s beautiful golden ball gown? Or you can be a part of Ariel’s world with her seashell-inspired almond cookies!
My favorite thing to do with cookbooks is flip through all the inspirational pictures of food, and this book definitely did not disappoint! My daughters and I enjoyed all the photos as they all looked beautiful and very delicious. The result of each recipe was incredibly creative.
The book is divided into four chapters:
- Cookies and Bars
- Pies and Tarts
- Cakes and Cupcakes
- Morning Treats
Besides the photos, I also really enjoy the short story that connects the theme with the treat you are about to make. Each recipe comes with a list of ingredients which makes it easy to put on your shopping list, as well as how many servings will be made. That is handy in case you want to double the serving size. An average recipe in the book contains about 3 short paragraphs of easy-to-follow steps. Some recipes may have a higher difficulty level that you can measure by the list of ingredients and longer steps to execute. For beginners, I would start with either “Aurora Magical Kiss Cookies” or “Aladdin One-Jump Cakes,” or “Meeko Muffins” as they each are delicious and should take less than 45 minutes to make.
Towards the back of the book are basic recipes that can come in handy to change things up! Basic recipes include pie doughs, tart pastry, cookies, and various frostings.
Some improvements for the book would be to highlight how much time each recipe would take to make as well as a bigger font size to make reading easier.
