Disney Genie to Launch at Walt Disney World Oct 19th

Today Disney Parks announced Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane options will be available at Walt Disney World starting October 19, 2021.

Here is a quick summary of the services:

Note all these services require you to have a valid admission ticket and park reservation for the day of visit.   A Virtual Queue for  Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will still be in use and traditional stand by queues for all other attractions.

Disney Genie

  • Free service available in the My Disney Experience app
  • Tailored Recommendations
  • A Personalized Daily Itinerary
  • A Custom Tip Board

Disney Genie+

  • $15 per person per day
  • Access to Lightning Lane Entrances
  • Works Similar to MaxPass at Disneyland did.  You can book one attraction at a time and as soon as you visit it during your window you can book your next attraction.  You can book the 1st attraction starting at 7:00am the day of your visit
  • Disney PhotoPass Lenses
  • Audio Tales
  • Attraction Listing for each park (Note these are subject to change)

Individual Lightning Lane

  • Pricing and availability will vary by date, attraction and park
    • Disney Provided an example: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 per person on October 19 and $11 per person on October 23. As another example, on both those dates, Lightning Lane entrance to Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will be $7 per person, while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be $15 per person
  • This option will be available for all Guests—with or without Disney Genie+ service
  • Choose a time to arrive at up to 2 attractions each day (booked one at a time)
  • Guests of a Disney Resort Hotel and Other Select Hotels can make their first purchase starting at 7:00am
  • All other guests can make their first purchase at park opening
  • Attraction Listing for each park (Note these are subject to change)
