MagicBand+ Debuting @ Disneyland Resort this Fall

In fall 2022, MagicBand+ makes its momentous debut at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., bringing the wearable technology to the West Coast for the first time. This innovation boasts a host of convenient capabilities – with more to come in the future. MagicBand+ can be connected to a theme park ticket or Magic Key pass for hands-free theme park entry, can be used to check into Lightning Lane entrances (separate valid Lightning Lane entry required) and can link Disney PhotoPass photos directly to guests’ Disney accounts. MagicBand+ also adds new, immersive elements and surprises to park experiences by syncing with special moments during nighttime spectaculars, pulsing with colorful, dancing lights and vibrations.

MagicBand+ adds new elements and surprises to park experiences by syncing with special moments during select nighttime spectaculars, pulsing with colorful, dancing lights and vibrations. MagicBand+ will come to life during “World of Color” in Disney California Adventure park and “Fantasmic!” and select nighttime shows in Disneyland park.

Guests will be able to enjoy a host of convenient capabilities and exciting experiences, including exploring Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland park like never before with the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters interactive quest. Vibrations and lights from MagicBand+ will guide guests to find virtual bounties across Black Spire Outpost. When the bounty is found, guests can use the augmented reality thermal viewer in the Play Disney Parks app to reveal who’s hiding in the shadows. Once the mission is completed, local guild master Raga Bua will reward players with galactic credits.
