Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who Has the Ugliest Christmas Sweaters of All?

You’ve probably heard of the holiday phenomenon known as “Ugly Christmas Sweaters,” right? That is, sweaters whose designs are so gawdy or outlandish that no one in their right, unironic mind would wear them. Well, Disney fans, rejoice! A company called Merchoid has not only heard of the concept, they have taken it to the next level and brought it to your feet.

That’s right, you can get an Ugly Christmas Sweater themed with your favorite Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel characters (and more!) now, for this and future holiday seasons.

New Aladdin Ugly Christmas Sweater includes Jasmine and Genie, as well as Abu, Rajah and the Flying Carpet.

Merchoid, a British company, is featuring a line of licensed ugly sweaters with a wide range of designs sure to appeal to fans of Disney and its related brands in particular.

Are you a fan of Disney Princesses? You won’t want to miss the sweater featuring Frozen’s Anna and Elsa (pictured above). There’s also a sweater with your favorite Little Mermaid, Ariel.

Other Disney characters given the “ugly” treatment include, Aladdin and Genie, Buzz and Woody, and Simba and Mufasa from The Lion King. There are also sweaters with Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas — you could get a jump on the Christmas season and wear those for Halloween, as well!

If you’re more into the Marvel Universe, you might like to look like Loki, or one of his variants, in the appropriate sweater.

Loki is just one of the Marvel heroes featured in Merchoid’s line of Ugly Christmas Sweaters.

If Loki’s not your guy, don’t worry. You could also choose from Black Panther, Spider-Man, Captain America, The Falcon, Dr. Strange, the Winter Soldier, Iron Man, Thor, Shang-Chi or even Deadpool! The list is quite inclusive.

Of course, if you’d rather represent your favorite Marvel heroine, you could go for Captain Marvel, or one of the others that Merchoid features: Black Widow, Ghost Spider (Spider-Gwen) or Ms. Marvel.

And if you can’t choose just one hero or heroine, there’s also a general Avengers or Eternals ugly sweater.

Captain Marvel’s famous logo gets the Ugly Christmas Sweater treatment, too.

Never fear, Star Wars fans. You aren’t forgotten. No matter whether your faves are classic characters like Yoda, R2-D2, and Darth Vader or the newer members of the franchise like the Mandalorian and his sidekick, Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda), you’re sure to find an outrageous design that’s destined to garner “That’s a really ugly Christmas sweater!” comments. (Although we have to admit that they aren’t totally successfully at making Grogu “ugly” in spite of the garish color combinations they use. That little guy is just too darn cute!)

Sweaters range in size from XS to XXXL and are unisex, meaning that they are suitable for anyone to wear. They are 100% acrylic and are conveniently machine washable. Ugliness doesn’t come cheap, though, as most of these comfy, warm sweaters cost between $64.99 and $74.99 — but those prices include all taxes and shipping. And, it’s good to note that if you’re not happy with your purchase, Merchoid has a generous return policy of up to 100 days for a full refund.

Merchoid’s line of ugly Christmas sweaters extends into other areas of “geekdom” — you’ll find pullovers featuring Game of Thrones and Harry Potter themes for example, as well as many others. And if you explore the rest of Merchoid’s website, you’ll find other branded merchandise inspired by a wide range of TV programs, videogames and movie franchises.
