Pictures & Video: Disney Imagination Campus Disney100 Teachers Celebration Cavalcade

Disney Imagination Campus hosted a Teachers Celebration today as part of the Disney 100 celebration.  The cavalcade was one part of a full day of activities for those selected.   Teachers submitted essays explaining how they incorporate imagination and creativity into their classroom each day.  100 essays were selected and those teachers were invited to the Disneyland Resort today.   Teachers representing 39 states participated.

The event started before park opening with a breakfast featuring a keynote speaker who discussed the importance of teachers in education and imagination with examples shared by our speakers. Then they split into groups to tour some  backstage areas and do creative activities powered by our imagination. Then the cavalcade. After the cavalcade they had some free time to enjoy the parks before a dinner and  the World of Color.

I spoke with a teacher who attended and she said “My favorite part of the day was interacting with teachers from across the country and share stories and ideas to implement with my students. Every moment felt so magical during the experience. ”
