Introducing “Hailey’s On It!” – A New Animated Series
Series Overview:
“Hailey’s On It!,” an original animated comedy-adventure series from Disney Branded Television, stars Auli’i Cravalho (Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana”) in the title role as Hailey. She is a risk-averse but resourceful teenager on a mission to complete every item on her long list of challenging, and sometimes impractical, tasks in order to save the world. Yes, you heard that right, to save the world!
Whether she’s tackling every ride at the county fair, performing in a musical, reuniting a singing duo, or facing her ever-growing and complicated feelings toward her best friend, Scott (voiced by Manny Jacinto), Hailey is always encountering new challenges and more opportunities to conquer her fears. That is how we learn and grow, right?
Created and executive produced by longtime writing and producing partners Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton, the season one guest and recurring cast includes Julie Bowen, Sarah Chalke, Jo Koy, Natasha Rothwell, Nico Santos, Al Yankovic and many more surprise guests!
My Thoughts
“Hailey’s On It” is such a fun series that transports me back to the teenage mindset – full of energy, curious about the world, all wrapped in the awkwardness of the high school years! Each episode is full of high energy, humor, with the goal of an item being checked off the list. “Hailey’s On It” is a great animated series for pre-teens as they navigate through this complicate thing called life. I was able to preview three episodes of Season 1; there will be 10 in total. They run about 23 minutes each.
Episode Information:
- Episode 1: The Beginning of the Friend
In the premiere episode, after learning that her to-do list will save the world, Hailey wanted to knock out an item on her list. She attempts to ride every ride at the county fair. What a challenge that was! She got into some funny situations while analyzing her complicated feelings for Scott and of course, saving the world! - Episode 2:
- The Last Sand – Hailey and her dad enter Oceanside’s Sandcastle Building Contest, but A.C. goads her into a small-scale medieval war of epic proportions.
- The Show Must Go Wrong – When the star of the school musical injures herself in the middle of the show, Hailey must overcome her fear of performing in front of an audience.
- Episode 4:
- Cubix Dudes – When Hailey’s plan to build an owl habitat is derailed, she learns the value of sacrifice for the good of a friend.
- Cos-played – When Hailey, Scott and Beta discover that they’ve been scammed at a Hero Force cosplay event, Hailey finds the hero within her to stand up to the bullies.
“Hailey’s On It!” as it premieres this Thursday, June 8, 2023 on Disney Channel and Disney XD, and next day on Disney+.
