4th of July Festivities @ Disneyland Resort (2023)

Disneyland Resort is hosting several military bands to celebrate the 4th of July on select days from June 29th through the 4th of July.

  • June 29th – 562nd Air Force Band
  • June 30th – 40th Infantry Division Band
  • July 3rd – 562nd Air Force Band, 1st Marine Division Ceremonial Band, & 1st Marine Division Band “Old Breed Brass Band”
  • July 4th – 1st Marine Division Ceremonial Band & 1st Marine Division Band Wind Ensemble

In addition to the guest groups the 4th of July World of Color pres-show and Disney’s Celebrate America! fireworks will run on Tuesday the 4th.  Also be on the lookout for Mickey Mouse in Town Square celebrating with a patriotic photo op.

40th Infantry Division Band

Location: Hollywood Backlot Stage

July 3, 2023

562nd Air Force Band

1st Marine Division Ceremonial Band

Location: Avengers Campus
Performance Time: 12:40 PM

Location: Paradise Gardens Park (in front of World of Color)

The Ceremonial Band is the cornerstone of the 1st Marine Division Band. It combines precision drill movements with inspiring music to showcase its proud military heritage. No Marine Corps ceremony would be complete without this traditional musical element. The Ceremonial Band has traveled throughout the United States and internationally, supporting community events, military ceremonies and parades. Whether performing for the President of the United States, foreign dignitaries, local military commands or various communities throughout the nation, the 1st Marine Division Band represents Marine Corps music as the “Pride of the Division.”

1st Marine Division Band “Old Breed Brass Band”

Location: Paradise Gardens Bandstand (near Paradise Garden Grill)
Performance Times: 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM

The “Old Breed Brass Bass Band” performs high-energy acoustic shows. Their product is a distinctive blend of jazz improvisation and dance music, pop songs or heavy funk, often including exciting original compositions and energetic soloists. “Old Breed” has appeared at such events as the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, the 2019 Fleet Week in San Francisco, California, and last year in Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California.


July 4, 2023

1st Marine Division Ceremonial Band

Location: Flag Retreat, Town Square
Performance Time: 4:30 PM

Location: Parade Route (starting in Town Square)
Performance Time: 5:00 PM 1st Marine Division Band Wind Ensemble

Location: Fantasyland Theater
Performance Time: 7:10 PM

The Wind Ensemble is regarded as one of the finest military ensembles in the United States today. At full strength, this 50-piece band performs traditional marches, overtures, instrumental solos, classical transcriptions and patriotic favorites. The Wind Ensemble has appeared throughout Southern California and outside the continental United States, including the annual Fleet Week Celebration in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California and the WWI Annual Remembrance Ceremony in Belleau Wood, France.
