The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is an amazing time to visit Walt Disney World. This is my second year attending and I was really excited about visiting Butterfly Landing near World Nature. It is a beautiful little garden where you can see a kaleidoscope of butterflies up close and personal. You can walk through the entire exhibit in about 5-10 minutes, but I recommend taking your time and look up, down, and all around you. Butterflies are fluttering everywhere, so be gentle, be patient and soak up the experience. Be sure to look everywhere. Sometimes they are resting behind leaves, being playful and flying around, or tasting a sweet flower with their feet.

I enjoyed taking my time and slowly walk through the garden of bright and colorful flowers. I was delighted to see all sorts of butterflies danced in front of me as I strolled through. It feels so peaceful to connect with nature this way. I watched the butterflies flutter around and play with one another. The lovely plants in the garden was beautiful as well. Let’s just say I was in my happy place!

Butterfly Landing is a very educational exhibit where you can learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly, from egg to caterpillar, to chrysalis, to an adult butterfly. They have a few mini houses where they move butterfly chrysalis to. If you are lucky, you may see a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis.

I stopped by Butterfly Landing twice during my vacation, once at 3:45pm one day and once around 4:30pm the next day. The butterflies were a lot more active during my 3:45pm visit. I heard the best time to visit is during the mornings because the exhibit is empty and you have more time to see the butterflies and early afternoon when the sun is out and they are flying around more.

Butterfly Landing is one of the highlights of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival for me. I really enjoyed seeing all the bright colors and beautiful butterflies. It brought me so much joy and happiness. I highly recommend visiting if you are at Epcot. Below are some of my favorite photos from my visits.
