Product Review: Funko “Disney Villains” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Tarot Decks

Two new Disney tarot decks from Funko Pop! and Insight Editions were released August 6th –

“Disney Villains Tarot Deck and Guidebook” 

The Disney Villains Tarot Deck and Guidebook is illustrated in the Pop! style by Dave Perillo and includes a guidebook by Minerva Siegel. The deck includes all of the major and minor arcana illustrated with a full cast of Disney villains, henchmen and sidekicks. Siegel’s guidebook includes explanations of each card, whether drawn upright or reversed, plus three unique themed spreads including the “Poisoned Apple” and “Ursula’s Cauldron” (pictured below). The cards are high quality with vivid illustrations and a large variety of characters. The guidebook is also very easy to follow. Any fan of Disney Villains and the Funko Pop! style would enjoy learning the art of tarot through this deck.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas Tarot Deck and Guidebook”

In time for spooky season, is this “The Nightmare Before Christmas” tarot deck and guidebook. Illustrations for this deck are done by Murillo Cleto, and the guidebook is written by Minerva Siegel. The guidebook is specific to Tim Burton’s classic Halloween (or is it Christmas?) film, and each major and minor arcana description includes references to Sally, Jack and other citizens of Halloween Town. In this deck, the minor arcana feature the unique suits of Poitions, Needles, Presents and Candles. In addition to some general set up for reading Tarot, Siegel includes guidance for three unique spreads, such as “A Peek Behind the Cyclops Eye”(pictured below).
