Daynah’s Japan Adventure: First Morning at Tokyo Disneyland Resort

Hello Disney Geeks! My family and I are on vacation in Japan and we wanted to share our Disney findings, experiences, and some Japanese culture with you. Be sure to follow along here at DisneyGeek.com for more posts about our Japan adventures.

I got up pretty early and got ready for my first full Disney day in Tokyo. My kids however, like to take their time.

We stayed at the Hilton Tokyo Bay hotel and our reservations came with breakfast, so we did not want to miss that. The kitchen closes at 10am, and we made it there before 9am.

What I love about this hotel is how kid-friendly it is. My daughters felt empowered to go get their own meals by themselves and I did not have to worry. There was a “Kid Station” for the little kids (however, I did see a lot of adults getting chicken nuggets from this stations too!) which was just the right height for the little ones. My younger daughter loved it and got her own plate and bowl and started filling it up with food. I did have to keep an eye on her so she could find her way back to our table.

The other food offerings was a cereal, pastry, and fruit station, along with traditional Japanese breakfast like sashimi sushi, various types of pickles, rice, corn soup, miso soup, seaweed salads, and more. There were also American-style offerings like eggs, bacon, pastas, and sausages. I am an adventurous eater, so I did try a little bit of everything.

disney monorail
After breakfast, we went off on our Disney adventure and got on the monorail. There are four stops on the monorail. Our hotel is closest to the Bayside Station and we got off at the Tokyo DisneySea Station. The other stops are the Resort Gateway Station (we use this when we want to go home or Bon Voyage) and the other is Tokyo Disneyland Station.

The Disney monorail is decorated in Disney-style of course. Here is the view out of some construction sights from the Mickey window.

You cannot help smiling when you see these hidden mickey (and minnie)! The cast members made Mickey and Minnie out of the cones.

disneysea lines
Yes, we got a late start at the park, but the lines are still very long. Luckily, it moved very fast once we got in line. These are the security lines to get into Disney Sea.

disneysea globe
What a beautiful sight. The Fountain Globe is the first thing you see once you set foot into Tokyo Disney Sea. It is beautiful during the day and even more lovely at night when it is lighted up.

It was a beautiful day in Tokyo and I was excited to explore Disney Sea with my family.
