Flashback 2015 – Tokyo Disneyland 32nd Anniversary
Tokyo Disneyland turned 33 today, it opened April 15, 1983, an easy date to remember here in the US, tax day. I planned my trip last year to be there for the 32nd anniversary. Not because of any celebration but because I thought it would be interesting to see what they did for a random anniversary date. I took a look at the park schedule and asked a couple cast member and nothing appeared to be planned. They did have some merchandise in Bon Voyage and in a couple stores in the park with a logo for the occasion. I ended up buying a pin/button but that was about it. This year the date also marked the kick off for the Tokyo DisneySea 15th anniversary, much like here in the US they celebrate anniversary years for a long period. DisneySea does not turn 15 until September and the celebration runs through next March. For more information here are the official press releases.
