Disneyland Star Wars Construction Check (2/10)
This post has a quick check of the Star Wars preparations at Disneyland taken with my cell phone. For more pictures visit my full picture sets and/or our construction progress section.
A check of the site from the Mickey and Friends parking structure. It was a cloudy afternoon but a lot of work going on with some very visible progress this week.
First up a video overview of the site.. plus an example why you do not want to freehand video with a telephoto lens on a SLR camera (you have been warned about the shaking).
The show building for the battle attraction nearest the parking structure has steel going up this visit. You can start to get a feel for the size of this two story building as it rises.
In the far north side of the site foundation work for the other building looks to be underway. Even with the coming rain cement trucks were very active today.

Most of the trees that were staged are now planted along the new berm.
Looks like something applied to the hill to help hold the dirt in place.
More rock work taking shape near the Fantasmic backstage marina structure.
Back to the building nearest the garage, crews are working on a circular structure on the one end of the building.

The new path for the boats is taking shape. Assuming those concrete footers are for the rail that will guide the boats.
