Disneyland Star Wars Construction Check (8/4)

This post has a quick check of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge preparations at Disneyland taken with my cell phone. For more pictures visit my full picture sets and/or our construction progress section. To help put this work into perspective here is the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Model @ D23 Expo 2017 (Pictures & Video)

A check of the site from the Mickey and Friends parking structure.

Starting on the left with the Millennium Falcon building and working right across the site.

The steel for the rock facade continues to be assembled.

The steel structure around the right half of the Millennium Falcon attraction is going up.  You can no longer make out the curve between the two halves of the building from this angle.

Looks like insulation going in between the exterior and interior walls of the Battle Escape building.

On the roof of the Battle Escape building the center section has HVAC and other work underway.  The right third is being prepared for a concrete pour.

Looks like the steel decking on the roof is complete.  Next step will be concrete.

The concrete structure to the right of the Battle Escape Building has the roof poured and connection points for steel that will support the facade.

On the right side the form is still up and rebar looks to be going up to finish connecting the wall sections to those on the right.

Looking toward Critter Country.

The view from Toontown.  You can see the steel mountain taking shape just beyond Mickey’s fountain.  It appears to be framed by the trees.  Assuming this is on purpose to give a glimpse of the land once complete.
