A new parking structure is being built on the former Pinocchio Parking lot adjacent to the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure with a projected opening in 2019. For more pictures be sure to visit our full Disneyland Picture Set. For pictures of this project from past weeks be sure to visit the Disneyland Construction Progress Section
A video clip overview of the site this afternoon:
Today we start off on the back side, nearest Walnut, since I was parked in the far corner of the garage. The temporary supports for the second floor are starting to be set up out here. On the far side nearest Magic Way more support columns are being poured.
To the left you can see the start of the first ramp and decking for the 2nd story being constructed. Beyond it the supports for the escalator area are up to the 3rd floor.
Here you can see the ground floor that has been poured so far and beyond it the preparation work for next section.
A closer look at the ramp where work has paused as the other one takes shape. This ramp will go over top of that one.
Supports for the 2nd floor are extended out close to the Mickey and Friends structure along the tramway. Wonder if the two structures will connect at all?
The ramp continues to grow. Here is where it meets the second floor.
A look at the escalator area for the new garage. Supports are up for the 3rd floor.
A closer look
A wide view of the status of the garage. In the middle of the picture teams are installing rebar and other support elements for the second floor.
The view from the escalators.
