Guest Post: Vocal Seoul @ Lunar New Year (2/18 – 3pm performance pictures & videos)

I had the pleasure of being at Disney California Adventure on the final day of the Lunar New Year celebration. I wanted to catch one more performance by Vocal Seoul so I made my way over to Sonoma Terrace for their 3pm set. If you have not heard of the group, Vocal Seoul is an acapella group of talented Korean artists who take you on a musical journey from folk songs to modern pop.

This was the first time I saw their performance during the day, and I have to admit I enjoy their evening performances much better because of the mood of the night, the crowd is not as shy in the evening, plus there are no shadows of trees.

Excited to hear them perform “Cupid” – one of my favorite songs from FiftyFifty.

They channeled their inner Blackpink and performed “Pink Venom” — this was the first time I heard of this song sang live by them.

Vocal Seoul taught us how to say “Happy New Year” in Korean as well as demonstrate what a beatboxer does.

Turning Red fans will love this rendition of “Nobody Like U” by 4*Town.

Vocal Seoul performs “Arirang,” a popular Korean folk song, said to be more than 600 years old. They sang it in style acapella, based off of BTS’s cover of the song.
