San Fransokyo Street

SINGAPORE (Oct. 16, 2024) – Inspired by the eclectic world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6,” San Fransokyo Street – a fictional mash-up of San Francisco and Tokyo – will be a family entertainment area on the Disney Adventure. Here, a sprawling thoroughfare will be lined with elaborate storefronts both real and imagined, pulsing with the energy and atmosphere of a vibrant street market and boasting an assortment of interactive games and activities, shops, cinemas and more.

Through imaginative design and special effects, visitors to San Fransokyo Street will be completely immersed in the sights, smells and resonant sounds of a bustling city.

At one end of the street, an industrial railway underpass with colorful street art will lead guests away from the main walkway and into the thriving, back-alley play district of Big Hero Arcade. This dynamic family gaming lounge will offer a series of “Big Hero 6”-themed video games and high-tech experiences, plus opportunities to meet Baymax, the film’s larger-than-life healthcare companion robot.

Other attractions along San Fransokyo Street will include a trolley stop and cable car lounge area, fashionable shops, a street stand café, and Baymax Cinemas – a four-theater complex showing new and classic Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Luscasfilm movies throughout the day. Two of the storefronts, Edge of the Bay Café and Vibe Records, will also conceal hidden entrances to the ship’s exclusive, urban-themed hangout spaces for tweens and teens.

Big Hero Arcade: High-tech games for all ages

Big Hero Arcade will reinvent the idea of a family arcade into a dynamic gaming lounge. This area will be more industrial than the charming city streets beyond, bringing the electricity of its urban setting to life with its lively energy, bright neon signs and eye-catching graffiti art. Centrally located in the open, free-flow environment will be a dedicated beverage and snack bar and comfortable lounge seating.

The centerpiece of Big Hero Arcade will be Hiro Training Zone, an immersive training simulator built by boy genius Hiro Hamada. The active, full-body experience will allow groups of four to put their hero skills to the test as they run, dodge and block their way across a high-tech gaming floor.

Four additional garages throughout Big Hero Arcade will be inspired by the unique personalities and super skills of the Big Hero 6 team, each featuring a custom, two-person gaming experience inspired by classic and contemporary arcade games.

  • Super Fred Kaiju Chaos: A classic family-friendly action game that challenges players to virtually don fanboy Fred’s super-jumping, fire-breathing battle suit and race through on-screen city streets in pursuit of a mysterious foe.
  • Go Go Racers: Mechanical engineer and racing enthusiast Go Go Tomago’s workstation will house the speedster’s personal training simulator that will require guests to use their own body movements to keep in time with an ever-quickening rhythm, challenging them to see how long they can last.
  • Honey Lemon Chem-Ball Blast: Honey Lemon, the sweet-natured chemist with an explosive streak, will equip her bright pink chemistry lab with beakers, explosive fashion accessories and a competition where guests race to fire bubbles and create chemical chain reactions.
  • Wasabi Speed Slice: Super intelligent and compulsively organized, physics wiz Wasabi will ensure guests have plenty of space to try out this active gameplay experience where guests swing their arms to slice and dice obstacles with Wasabi’s laser-induced plasma blades.

Baymax is sure to delight fans of all ages during special appearances in the Big Hero Arcade throughout each sailing. Whether they are hoping for a high-tech healthcare scan or a “bah-a-la- la-la” fist bump, guests will know that Baymax is preparing for a visit when they hear the sounds of the huggable healthcare companion inflating and powering up behind his garage door.

Baymax Cinemas will play a variety of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm movies throughout each day and into the evening, providing guests with abundant opportunities to catch current releases — including film premieres on the same day they debut on land — and classic Disney favorites, all on the big screen.

Alley Cat Café will be the street-stand outpost of Aunt Cass’s popular bistro in “Big Hero 6,” a walk-up concessions stall where cinema snacks will be available to purchase. Gamers and movie-goers will find everything they need, from fizzy sodas and espresso drinks to popcorn, candies and other light bites.

Hidden behind Vibe Records, teens aged 14 to 17 will find their haven at Vibe, a dynamic space where they can meet new friends, watch movies, play games and engage in group activities designed just for them. And for tweens aged 11 to 14, disguised by Edge of the Bay Café, Edge will offer a vibrant clubhouse where they can have fun, make friends and enjoy various games.
