Tokyo DisneySea Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary with “Time to Shine!”
From September 4, 2021, through September 3, 2022
URAYASU, CHIBA— Tokyo Disney Resort® announced that to mark the 20th anniversary of Tokyo DisneySea®, a celebration, entitled “Tokyo DisneySea 20th: Time to Shine!,” will be held at the Park from September 4, 2021, through
September 3, 2022.
Tokyo DisneySea opened on September 4, 2001, as the only Disney Park themed to the sea. During this special year of celebration, all of the overflowing feelings of joy, happiness, dreams and hopes of our guests, cast members and Disney friends will add even more sparkle and shine to this unique Park.
To highlight the 20th anniversary event, “Mickey & Friends Harbor Greeting ‘Time to Shine!’ ” will be presented on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor. From aboard a ship, as new music for the anniversary plays, Mickey and his pals dressed in sparkling costumes that matches the theme of the 20th anniversary will celebrate this special year with guests.
In addition to the entertainment program, this milestone year will be celebrated with various merchandise and menu items themed to the 20th anniversary. Special decorations around DisneySea AquaSphere and in Passaggio MiraCosta will also welcome guests as they enter the Park.
The festive atmosphere of the 20th anniversary celebration will even be found outside the Park. Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta® will also mark its 20th anniversary and celebrate with special menu items at its restaurants and banquet rooms. At Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel®, amenities with special designs will be offered for a limited time. In addition, Disney Resort Line will offer day passes in a special design to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Tokyo DisneySea.
Tokyo DisneySea, which opened as the second Disney Park within Tokyo Disney Resort, has continued to evolve over the past two decades. In fiscal year 2023 (April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024), Fantasy Springs is scheduled to open as the Park’s eighth themed port. The new themed port will offer guests even more experiences to enjoy at Tokyo DisneySea.

The entertainment program “Mickey & Friends Harbor Greeting ‘Time to Shine!’” will be presented to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Tokyo DisneySea. Dressed in sparkling costumes themed to the anniversary, Mickey Mouse and his friends will greet guests from aboard a boat decorated with the anniversary logo. The Disney friends will invite the guests to
chant to the new music and celebrate the 20th anniversary together.
SPECIAL MERCHANDISE
To commemorate the special year, merchandise themed to the 20th anniversary will become available. Featuring a design of Mickey Mouse and the Disney friends that invites guests to the world of “Time to Shine!,” plush toys, items that can be worn and other merchandise will be available to make the 20th anniversary celebration even more delightful. Additionally,
exclusive personalized items and items that are only available in a limited quantity will also be found at the Park during the event period.
Also to commemorate the 20th anniversary, “Duffy and Friends Starry Dreams” merchandise featuring Duffy and friends
traveling through a starry sky will be available.

SPECIAL MENUS
To commemorate the Tokyo DisneySea 20th anniversary, special menu items and food experiences will be offered during the event period. With the Seasonal Taste Selections program, select restaurants in the Park will be given a common theme perfect for the season. Guests can enjoy menu items based on the theme, that will highlight the chefs’ skills and showcase the unique characteristics of each restaurant. Also at the Park, the ever-popular churros will be available in a 20th anniversary special version and a special drink can be enjoyed as well. In addition, lunch cases, cups and other food souvenir items featuring the 20th anniversary designs and those themed to Duffy and Friends will be offered.

Special menu items and amenities offered at select Disney hotels will bring more excitement to the anniversarycelebration.
Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta will mark its 20th anniversary together with Tokyo DisneySea. To celebrate this remarkable year, special menu items will be offered at the hotel’s restaurants and banquet rooms. The restaurants will offer special menus items and drinks that will enhance the ambience of the celebration for guests’ enjoyment, while the banquet rooms will offer special menu items for a limited period for guests booking the Private Dining Plan, the hotel’s original dining plan exclusively for parties of six or more.
For guests staying at Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel, postcards and room key holders with a special design commemorating the 20th anniversary will be available.

DISNEY RESORT LINE
Day pass tickets with a limited-period design commemorating the 20th anniversary of the grand opening of Tokyo DisneySea will give guests a taste of the festive atmosphere of “Tokyo DisneySea 20th: Time to Shine!” These commemorative tickets will be available at the ticket vending machines at the four stations of the Disney Resort Line.
