2014 Disneyland All-American College Band Information & Videos

The 2014 Disneyland All-American College Band started in park performances on Thursday June 19th. They are scheduled to perform Tuesday through Saturday (they are off Sunday and Mondays) until mid-August.

Set times/information:

• 1:50pm – Disney California Adventure – Hollywood Backlot Stage
  This is traditionally their Jazz set and usually features the band sitting on the stage and performing. Throughout the summer they have guest performers join them at this set. The music here usually changes the most with the band playing a wider assortment of music vs the other sets which are the same.

  

  Band Introductions & Disney Medley:

  Featuring Steve Houghton on drums:
• 3:25pm – Disneyland – Sleeping Beauty Castle
  They band marches to the compass in front of the Castle to perform. For 2014 the set includes “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” as well as a Disneyland Attraction Medley.

  The band then sets off on a march down Main Street USA performing as they go. They stop near the Main Street Cinema and perform “Under the Sea” from the Little Mermaid.
• 5:10pm – Nightly Flag Retreat in Town Square
  The band marches down Main Street USA to Town Square. Once there they circle the flag pole. They are joined by the Dapper Dans of Disneyland for the ceremony. It includes “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, “America the Beautiful”, an Armed Forces Medley, the “Star Spangled Banner”, “Stars and Stripes Forever”, and closes with “God Bless America”. They then follow the procession backstage at the parade gate.

  

  

• 6:00pm – Parade Route
  The band arrives on Main Street from backstage in Town Square and marches up the street. They play a Tower of Power medley near the Cinema.

  They march they play “Goin’ Down the Bayou”.

  They pause again near the hub and perform “Let it Go”.

  Near the parade crossing in Fantasyland they start to play “Celebration” as they arrive in the Small World Mall.

  Once they reach the gift shop near Small World they turn around and play their Disney Movie Medley. Afterwards they march the rest of the parade route and exit backstage by Small World.
• 7:15pm – Main Street Train Station
  The band marches down Main Street USA and around Town Square to the Train Station. Once there they performed “Bubbles was a Cheerleader” on the steps then once down on the street they do some member introductions followed by their Michael Jackson Medley. Some more member introductions and “Let it Go” from Frozen. Then for an encore they close with their Earth, Wind and Fire tribute. They then finish circling Town Square and head backstage at the parade gate.
