A couple Disney Parks Blog posts to note…
Hello,
I am sure all you disneygeeks out there read the parks blog regularly… but in case you do not wanted to point out a couple noteworthy recent postings.
Today the Disneyparks Blog announced two interesting items. The first is a new adventure coming to Disneyland the end of the month that will feature a sneak peak at Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides as well as other activities. Here is the article.
Geek’s two cents: This sounds very interesting and sort of a cross between ElecTRONica and Family Fun Weekends maybe? Given the venue, show, and film clip?? I have not seen anything beyond the blog posting so this is a wild guess and when we learn more I will be sure to pass it along.
The second is on the new Interactive Queue additions for the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World. Here is the video describing that:
Geek’s two cents: This looks interesting and cannot wait to give it a try on my next WDW trip..
Lastly kind of a sad post from earlier in the week. This will be the last year for Grad Nite at Walt Disney World. As of now no changes are planned for the Disneyland tradition. Here is the article
Geek’s two cents: I was a bit disappointed to hear this since I was able to experience the Disneyland version for my high school graduation and have seen been back as a chaperon a handful of times over the years. I have never been to the WDW version so I am not sure how much they differ. But I have thought the Disneyland version has lost some of its luster over the years. They now bring in DJs vs live Bands. The dress code is so lax it is nearly non-existent. The number of students at each seems to have grown too and the pricing continues to climb. I can see why school are opting out. I still think it is a great tradition and would like to see it regain some of its “former glory”.
What do you think??
