Tokyo Disneyland – Hippity-Hoppity Springtime 2015 (Pictures & Video)
In 2015 I visited the Tokyo Disneyland Resort and was able to experience their Spring/Easter festivities. This post features a look at the parade, titled – Hippity-Hoppity Springtime. This took place two times a day during my visit. It features 7 floats and over 85 performers. It makes three show stops as it goes through Westernland and Fantasyland, around the Plaza and between Toontown and Tomorrowland. Here is the official Tokyo Disneyland Press Release Description:
“Hippity-Hoppity Springtime” is back again this year to celebrate the fun of “Disney’s Easter.” This happy, whimsical parade set in the secret Easter garden features the Disney friends and lots of Easter bunnies. Guests can enjoy the new costumes worn by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as well as a new version of the music for the parade. The parade stops in three locations for a lively and whimsical Easter party. Guests are invited to join in the fun with Mickey Mouse, his Disney pals and the Easter bunnies.
The parade’s opening float represents the entrance to the Easter garden. On the far side of this “secret” entrance are Easter bunnies, who are all dressed up to welcome everyone. The next float is a workshop where Chip ’n Dale and the Easter bunnies are having fun decorating eggs with colorful paints. Chip ’n Dale, who are very excited, are covered in paint themselves as they paint the eggs.
On the gym float that follows, Goofy, his son Max and the Easter bunnies are getting into condition for the egg race with some fanciful training techniques. Goofy and Max are using training machines designed with vegetables. Next, colorfully painted Easter eggs can be seen on the garden-like float where Mickey Mouse, Pluto and the Easter bunnies are happily hunting for the eggs.
Pooh’s friend Rabbit is teaching a class about how to enjoy “Disney’s Easter” on the schoolhouse float. Next, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck are cooking up tasty treats for the Easter bunnies on the kitchen float. The final float shows a dance party with the charming Minnie Mouse, Clarice and Marie.
