Washington D.C. – Supreme Court & Smithsonian Air/Space Pictures

This week I am spending a few days touring Washington D.C. I know it is not Disney but I thought some may be interested so here are some cell-phone pictures from my trip. This post features my afternoon which started off at the Supreme Court, then circled the U.S. Capitol as I headed for the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum to conclude my sightseeing day.

20170821 133944 1 — The ground floor had movie playing and a small theater that played an overview video then I headed upstairs.

20170821 134042 — The Court Room was closed for annual renovation/cleaning. So we did not get to see it.

After the Supreme Court I walked around the U.S. Capitol Building.

20170821 135123 — The Eclipse was underway and nearing the peak as we walked around. I did not have any glasses or filters so no pictures of it.. instead several of the Capitol as I walked around.

Next stop the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. I had the absolute worse timing.. arriving right about the peak of the eclipse. So the entrance area was mobbed.
