Epcot – Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt 2017
For 2017 the Epcot Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt runs from March 1 to May 29th, throughout the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. This extended run meant I was able to go on a quest for the eggs during my spring trip. For those of you not familiar the egg hunts at the Disney Parks, they consist of large character eggs “hid” around the park. You can purchase a map with stickers for $5.99 this year at select locations. You go around and find the eggs placing the character sticker in each location matching what egg you find there. Then you take your map to a redemption center and pick up your egg prize. Or if you are like me and do not want the prize you just roam the park looking for eggs. At Epcot the hunt takes place around World Showcase with each Pavilion having one. So the map does not really give you any hints besides that.
This was my first time trying the Epcot hunt. Usually it is not going on during my trips. I have done the various ones at the Disneyland Resort for several years now. I thought the Epcot hunt was a little more daunting because of the scale of where the eggs could be hidden. Instead of doing a concentrated search for eggs I ended up looking throughout my trip as I visited the various countries or just walked around. I did manage to find all 12 eggs.
