Book Review: H is for Halloween

H is for Halloween is the perfect book for your little one this Halloween season. It is a board book that features lift-the-flap and die-cut trace elements. There are plenty of fun elements to explore on each page as your child learns the alphabet.

Daughter’s Reaction

Both of my daughters (6 years old and 2 years old) enjoyed this book a lot. They turned all the pages and flipped the flaps on each one to reveal the new word that connects to the featured letter on the page. They loved exploring each page. My 6 year-old daughter was mostly interested in reading the text at the bottom of each page (a sentence that highlights the featured letter) and going through the flaps to read the words. My younger daughter enjoyed the colorful illustrations and all the movement of the flaps. She also tried tracing the beveled letters on the pages as well.

Overview

H is for Halloween is such an adorable board book for kids learning their first words and the alphabet. There are gorgeous illustrations of your favorite Disney characters and each page comes with many lift-the-flaps for you to explore and learn how to spell the words for the items. Each page also comes with a beveled die-cut letter to trace with your fingers. There are 100 flaps to flip, 26 pages to read, and lots of fun to explore, making this book such a joy to read. Both of my daughters really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed watching my daughters read this book and would recommend this book for children ages three and up as the pages are not as thick as most board books and may require a little more motor skills to flip the flaps.
